Quick Guide to Upgrading a Zuma 50 with a 70cc Big Bore Kit

Search the internet and you’ll find no shortage of posts from people saying how easy it is to replace the Zuma’s stock 50cc cylinder. Just buy the kit, bolt it on, and go.

And in fact it isn’t all that complicated – the actual top end replacement involves just four nuts, two circlips, and two bolts holding on the exhaust. But there a few things to know and/or avoid if you haven’t done this before, especially if you don’t have experience working on engines. Furthermore, there are some other minor changes and tweaks you must make at the same time you put on the bigger top end, because the stock bike is set up to work with a less powerful top end that makes its maximum power at different RPMs.

That’s is why it’s a good idea to buy from a vendor who knows the Zuma and can make sure you get the right parts for a reliable upgrade, and also who’ll provide tech support if you have questions or run into problems.

Polini EVO Clutch Bell Review

Ive been looking at this clutch bell for a while, I love intergrated cooling fins. I figure the more cooling you can have the better. Also looks to have less metal more open to allow air into the clutch/contra spring area.

So far I have used 3 clutch bells for my 125. Ive found weight plays a role on my machine especially stock engine. Ive currently been using the RRGS bell because its lighter then stock, and has traction lines for the pads to grip better I guess. Could never say it acted better then the stock bell but I had saw a notice because of the lighter weight. It looks identical to stock, and I guess it would also cool like stock.

So this new bell weighs 64.4 grams less then the stock. Has more metal taken away for a nicer lighter look. Also milled in heat sink fins on the outer ring of the bell.

Ive also taken a video of my stock, rrgs and the evo bell to show how balanced they are. The stock is very wobbly but I believe its the welded outer heat shield thing. The rrgs is very well balanced. The evo is very smooth spinning, looks perfect.

Where to purchase

I only found it on spi-parts website, looked around some online for it trying to compare prices but never found it, did not look on e bay though. It was about 3x more then my RRGS bell. But since they are located in my state shipping only took 2 days, so sometimes its worth it to me to pay more and get it quickly, and thats with free shipping too! Polini EVO Clutch Bell

This is just my first impressions of the bell. I will try to get some runs on it today, this week. Right now im very sick so I will try my best.

Zuma NCY Exhaust My Review, Thoughts

Just got it put on, all I can say is its worth the money for a intermediate exhaust.
Even came with new gasket. But the rear bracket for the plastic fender was all bet over but I was able to bend it back no paint chips or anything. Comes with new bolts too.

So far I’ve gained 5 mph top speed, 5 mph more up a hill. Only 2 speed runs so far, one hill climb but that’s pretty good results.
Also cold starts give better idle where before I had to wait 3 min before idle would even out.
Barely louder then stock, I no longer hear the intake sucking in driving, I hear the exhaust. But its still quiet the wind at 50 mph was louder then the exhaust. But going slower it sounds nice. Little bass to it. Maybe 1/3 of what the 2 bros had. But so quiet at max speed its what I wanted in a pipe.

Polini Sponge Air Filter For Honda SH 125/150

Polini Sponge Air Filter

Polini Motori has designed a new air filter for Honda SH 125/150 This sponge air filter has great efficiency and it is made off flexible expanded polyurethane with a polyester base and gauze. It is made up of two sponge layers; a finer one of light blue color with 60 pp porosity and one opener of black color with 30 pp porosity The fine layer only filters the smallest particles, maintaining its characteristics longer, since it does not come into contact with the greatest particles, that haven’t surpassed the pre-filtration thanks to the main layer The external surface is waved. It offers a greater entrance of the air flow; retaining 50% more dust particles. The sponge has a metal net as protection from flames.

The efficiency of the filter fulfills the European EN779 of G3-G4 degree rules: more than 90% of ponderal efficiency and more than 50% with 1 micron particles. More dust particles can be retained and the efficiency increased by soaking the filter with the specific oil for filter sponges. It is possible to partially restore the filter by washing it and drying it.

More Performance

From the track to the road the new “Polini Sponge Air filter” is interchangeable with the original ones and they improve the air flows during the intake cycle. Thanks to its feature to filter the air, it optimizes the air-petrol mixture improving the values thus making the engine performance even better.
