Race Six at Buttonwillow

Race #6 is coming up soon! August 20/21 @ Buttonwillow raceway! Last time out at Buttonwillow fell on Easter weekend and made for a tough turn out. From the sounds of it this should be a good turnout! A great location from riders from the north and the south to meet up!

We also have the Oregon race coming up 2 weeks later. If you are interested in that please get in touch with me. We are working out getting bikes up there. There will be racers out of Oregon, Washington and Canada plus at least 4 from the Bay Area. Classes will be approx 15 – 20 bikes deep!

Three Mile Island Scooter Club Meltdown 2011

Three Mile Island Scooter Club Meltdown 2011

Harrisburg’s Three Mile Island Scooter Club is currently planning its eighth annual scooter rally, “Meltdown 2011”, which will be held in Camp Hill PA, August 19-21. The rally is expected to draw some 150 scooter aficionados from Central Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. The Meltdown scooter rally has been nationally recognized in “Scoot! Magazine” as one of the best scooter rallies in the US. MELTDOWN 2009 was the only US rally to be featured in Britain’s premiere Scoot magazine, “Scootering”. Meltdown 2011 will be more of the same and will feature Group Scooter Rides, Live Music, Door Prizes Raffles, Rally Bags, Giveaways, Food, Barbeque, Games and On-Site Camping.

Members of the scooter culture are regarded by much of the public as “early movers”, “innovators” “influencers”, and “trend setters”. Not only do they influence people through direct persuasion and endorsement, but also indirectly through their social image as people who know both quality and “cool”.

Rallies are an integral part of the scooter culture and provide a mechanism through which scooter clubs and groups can get together for rides, games and social events. Rallies have been around for nearly as long as scooters have, and come in a broad assortment of sizes and styles: camping rallies, city rallies, country rallies, beach rallies, mountain rallies and more. We believe our rally is a great combination!
